- The name of the townland in which I live is Barna, it is in the parish of Innishannon and in the barony of Carbery.
There are seven families in the townland and all are of different names. The houses are all slate houses. The meaning of Barna is a gap. There is no one over seventy years of age there. The land is good. There is a wood called Slaveen there and there is about eighty acres of land in it. - I live in the townland of Crowhill, in the parish of Knockavilla and in the barony of East Muskerry.
