  1. The local fairs are held at Bandon, Innishannon and Ballinhassig. These are always held in towns except Ballinhassig and Innishannon which are both held in villages.
    During the cival war buyers came to the cross roads to buy stock but they often came to the farmers houses. Ballinhassig fair is held near Ballinaboy graveyard. Bandon Cattle, sheep and pig fairs are held on the town square near the court house or town clock.
    Two special horse fairs are held in Bandon during the year, on the twenty-seventh of February and on the fourth of August.
    Toll is not paid at Bandon but it is at Innishannon. When animals are sold luck money is given. This is calculated sometimes
