On the next day when the man came to where he had stuck the stick he found all the bog was covered with sticks and caps like his own. So he was unable to find the purse.
About seven years after that he met the lúrachán again. He told him he should give him the purse and he would kill him unless he did so. Then the lúrachán gave him the purse and he was to return it after seven years. Then the man tool the purse and everytime he looked into it there was a shilling in it.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
