- Travelling people are still coming to this district. These people are welcome in houses. When they come to a house they usually stay for one night. During that time they stay in the kitchen or in an outhouse. These people come at all times of the year. When they come they except pennies or eggs as alms. These people usually come on foot. Some times they come singly and other times in bands. The majority of these people bring no food with them.
The names of the best known of them are as follows, the O[?], William O'Dea, Dan Hugh, Jack the Brush [?], Daniel O' Connell, John O'Brien, Mick Flynn, [?] Dwyer, The Smart Man, and the Black Tail[?] The Driscoll family make saspans, buckets. Jack the Brush makes brushes and sells laces as tiepins.
