Each year there are five or six tents convenient to the well and in each tent apples, sweets, sugarsticks, oranges, and cakes are being sold. Children love to visit these tents. In days gone by the people found more pleasure in assembling at this well, because there were more amusement held there. The people joined in athletic feats such as running, jumping and throwing heavy weights. Dancing was a great amusement held near the well long ago. The people carried drink to the top of the mountain but as drink used cause quarrels and faction fights the custom of drink has been discontinued. Tobhairín na n-Óganách
