  2. Dónal was an old man living in Baile’n Chalaidh some time ago. He was taken sick and he was below in the bed in the room. The room door was open and he was looking up. He was very bad this day and a hen came in on the floor, and stood opposite the room-door. Dónal was looking at her and she shook her wings and she crew three times.
    “That’s for you Dan,” says Dónal, “a warning to be off.”
    He died a few days afterwards.
