The birds which are in my district are Wrens, Robins, Thrushes, Blackbirds, Crows, Scald Crows, Larks, Seagulls, Gold Finches, Pigeons, Swallows, Yellow hammers, Wild Geese, Water Hens, Corn-Crakes, Sparrows, Chaff-Finches, Cabbage-Wrens, Willy-wagtail, and the Magpie. The Swallows, the Corn-crake, the Cuckoo, the May Plever and the Wild-geese emigrate.
The wren builds her nest under the eve of a house. The robin builds in the side of a ditch. A good singing thrush builds her nest close to the ground and a bad singer builds high in the bush. The blackbird builds in a(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
