  1. About a hundred years ago there. was a minister in Drimoleague named Mr Tuckey.
    At the same time there was a parish priest in the parish named Fr. Begley. Those two Gentlemen were not the best of friends. One day as they were having a conversation an argument arose between them.
    The minister's father used to engage in the plucking of geese, and as an "easbacán" the priest said to the minister how much afraid the geese used to be of his father that
    "Nách bhfuil gandal sa tír ó Chorcaigh aníos,
    Ná critheann a chroidhe nuair a deireann sé 'h-[?]' "
