    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    Many years ago there were three men, each having a horse and car going out the Quarry Well-road. It was about one oclock in the morning. When they were about two miles from town a man appeared to the last man telling him to pull in as close as possible to the fence, for a while, and to tell his friends to do the same.
    As soon as they had done this, they heard a terrible noise of chains ratteling. It was a very bright night but they could see nothing, only feel a terrible smell. Again the voice said "Move on now my friends, you are quite safe." Then one of the men recognised the voice as a great friend of his own who died about 12 months before.
