- The name of my home district is Curradrehid. It is in the Parish of Kilbride and the barony of Ballintober South.
There are about ten families in it and fifty people approximatey in it. The majority of the houses are thatched. Daly is the most common name in it. There are only about three people over seventy in it and none of them know Irish. They tell stories in English. The houses are as numerous as they were in former times because there are no ruins in it. People emigrated to America from my district also and a lot of are in it yet. The land is both boggy and good. There are no rivers, lakes or streams f any importance in it.
