In Corrigeen lived a Mrs Hannon.

In Corrigeen lived a Mrs. Hannon. This woman's house used to be visible by fairies every night. One night her husband was sitting up late with a saw that was going to have bonhams, when all of a sudden noises and commotion started in the house. Mrs. Hannon (who was in very delicate health herself) used to curse these "fairies." As a result, all their cattle died and she herself died after a lingering illness.
