This is how a marriage took place in olden times.

This is how a marriage took place in olden times. The time of the year which it used to begin was during Shrove, and the days which it was held on was Monday, the old people say that June and July are unlucky months to get married. Match making begins in February and ends about May. Those who make matches want money as a fortune and the girl who gets a big fortune gets a big place.
