- There was once a poet named P. Lannon who lived in Drumminore, Ruskey. He died at 60 years and was buried in Kilbarry. He used to make a lot of poetry. One day he went to Ruskey and he met a man and he said:
You seem to be a stranger that lives beyond the Shannon,
For if you were not, you'd surely know Pat Lannon.
He was also a farmer and he could read and write.- Collector
