Houses were more numerous in former days. One house is in ruins. The people that was in it has extinked. The name of the that lived there were Culleton.
The townland got it's name because there a lot of quicken-trees growing there long ago some remain there still.
The six of the houses are thatched three have slated rooms.
The half of the land is bad. The rest grows beet, wheat, barley, oats, turnips, and potatoes.
