Ar an leathanach seo

  1. I play a lot of games such as "Hide and go seek", "corners", "blind man's buff", "Sally go round the moon", "Rounders", "Time of the watch", "fly", "In and out goes the darky bluebell", "hop scotch", "The Roman soldiers", Queenie.
    On the first of November of every year a lot of nuts are bought. On November night we all gather together and crack them.
    Rounders is a very special game played around here. A lot of girls are required to play this game. This number of girls is divided into two equal parts. One crowd goes inside a ring and the other outside. One girl bowls the ball to the girls in the ring and they hit it. The girls outside gather around to catch it and if they succeed they go inside the ring and the others go out.
    To play "In and out goes the darky bluebell" a number of girls gather around. They all join hands and form a circle. One girl runs around under the other girls' hands saying;
    "In and out goes the darky bluebell"
