Long ago the field west of the bohreen leading to Daniel Healy's house at Rockfield, Faha, Beaufort, was called "Páirc A' Ráis Great "patterns" were held there every year.
Paddy Óg Enright was a great high jumper and attended these "patterns" regularly. He was a native of Rockfield. He used to put three horses standing abreast, tow or three steps between every two horses. He then jumped the three horses like a jumper in a hurdle race. No matter how high the horses were he never failed to jump them.
It is more than fifty years now since these "patterns" were held in "Páirc A' Ráis".
