  1. Bob Sullivan was a postman. He lived in Knockaderry with his mother in a little thatched house. Both of them were very yellow in complexion. Sometimes he had to carry the post to Ballyhar. One day he got tea in a house there. When he came home he was telling his mother about it. She said "How well they knew you Bob." He laughed and said "Muise mother shure any wan that would know the hin would know the shicken".

  2. One day Dick Savage and Maurice Wolfe were walking along the streets of Tralee. There was a little girl walking between them. A man saw them and he said to his wife "Isn't that an awful place to have a child between a savage and a wolf."
