  1. One day a farmer was travelling through a field. A cross ram attacked him. He caught the ram by the horns. An Englishman came walking along the road. He asked the farmer why he was holding the ram. "I am waiting", said the farmer, "until somebody comes to hold the ram while I am fetching a rope. "Will you please hold him."
