    the lad left his leg in the bailif's hands and ran up the cliff on one leg. The bailiff got such a fright that he threw the leg on the ground and ran from the spot and went home. Then the lad disappeared into the "glaishe". The people who saw were frightened because they knew it was a ghost. His face was also white and he wore torn clothes. His eyes were very red and were like two burning coals. He wore no trousers but a long grey ragged shirt. He wore no shoes on his feet and was able to walk with long strides and it was said that each place he walked he left a deep sign on the ground. When the people went to look for the leg they found nothing there or no signs on the ground.
