May Eve On May Eve the young children used to gather the "yarrow" here. The children each pull 10 stalks, nine of them are put under the pillow at night and the tenth thrown away. The person that had the "yarrow" is suppose to dream of his or her future wife or husband. You should never go to visit a graveyard during may. You should never sleep out on a may afternoon, because you would get a stroke from the fairies. Collected by Mary Quinlan
