   The clouds look black the soot falls down. The spaniels sleep. The spider from their cobwebs creep. The sun goes pale to bed. A rainbow is to be seen in the sky. The chairs and tables creek. The walls are damp the ditches smell. Loud quack the duck. The peacocks cry. The distant hills are looking nigh. Low over the grass the swallow wings. The crickets too how sharp he sings. Puss on the hearth with velvet paws sits wiping oer her whiskered jaws. Signs of rain.
