Ar an leathanach seo
- Long ago when a marriage was to take place the village people used to be very excited. On the day of the marriage no farmer would go to his work.
The marrige cermonie used to take place in the Church. Then there is a race back to the bride's house. He who wins gets a bottle of wine. The rest of the party ride on horseback and the bride behind the groom.
If the day were good the feast would take place in the open air. it lasted three days.
Straw-boys come to the feast and dance and sing. They are dressed in straw. The local fiddler comes also, and makes music for the dancers.
If the bride after the feast goes to her old house she will have bad luck. She must wait for a month.
