The man said they had enough played, that they would play another game the next night and the man started to gather the cards.
One card fell on the ground and the man stooped to lift it.
When he was lifting it, he saw that the devil had cow's feet on him.
The man threw the cards of the devil and ran off.
The devil started to throw knives at the man.
When the man was going in his own door, the devil stuck a knife in the door.
That night the man could not sleep.
In the middle of the night the man rose and went to the door. He saw the knife stuck in the door.
He never went to play cards again, and he lived a richer and better man after that.
