   That would reach from Dingle to Cahirciveen,
   He had a pair of long horns like any two bayonets,
   And just like a needle they were pointed on top,
   And you may be sure you'ld be a week laughing,
   It he only did happen to give you a rap.

   I made my appearance to the owner who held him,
   The bargain we made without much delay,
   And he said if you pay me down twenty two shillings,
   An advice I will give you before you go away,
   This brave Irish hero he well knows the mountains,
   Since the year 64 since he first used to drill,
   And some of his (comrades) comrades I am told are
