- There was once a man who was very fond of gambling. One night he lost his stick and he went to a fort and picked a stick. The next night he went gambling again but he lost every time. This was going on for some nights and soon he was very much in debt.
One night he met a friend and the poor man told him of his misfortune. He also told him about picking the stick. The man told him to return the stick and the man did so. From that night on he always won.A man built his home in the Slieve Bloom mountains.
