  1. When a calf has the "Ruathar-Péist" a kind of a knot is made over him with a cord three times making The Sign of The Cross. You should take off your hat or cap while doing so. The knot is called "The Knot for the Ruathar Péist".
    When a cow has the red murrain there is a cure for it by sticking a pin in the ground and certain words should be said. The same pin should be worn in your every-day clothes.
