- When you are going to make creels first of all you get thirty six sally rods. Each pair is stuck close together in a field. Each pair is about three inches apart. They form a shape two feet by eighteen inches. They are tied at the top with a piece of rope. After that there are other rods got and woven in and out through the rods which are stuck in the ground. When you are half ways up, the creel eyes are formed. Then there is another set of rods woven which completes the body. Then the body is formed, the rope is loosed, and the studs are plaited which form the bottom.
