- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)road opens up a very backward portion of the Parish. It is adjoining the main roads at Greaghanfarna also at Kilmore, Dowra.
After the Local Government came into power a road 1/2 mile long was made in the townland of Stradrina leading from the Stoney-river bridge to the village. In the early years of the present century the Tullynapartlin road was made. Its length is two miles. It begins from the main road at Tullynapartlin and ends on the main roads at Coro-tober. Wages paid on roads made before the Local Self Government Act was 7s. 6d. and 9s. per week. The Congested Districts Board took over the townland of (Kill) Kilgariff and divided it into farms and made a road from the County road through the townland. Every holding borders on the road.
The Land Commission did very little road-making in the Parish with the exception of three road, every hard-working, industrious farmer made a boreen or avenue to his dwelling.
Next came the minor relief schemes. A great portion of the old road was widened and repaired and bridges were erected. New roads have been made or old ones repaired in every townland in the pairsh with the exception of a number of bog-roads. The Parish presents a different aspect from what it did.
