   Connacht won the game by three goals and four points. After the game the ghost gave Sean a pot which had magic powers. He told Sean to strike the pot three times and to say, "food, drink, and attendance", and he would be served with the choicest of (dainies?). The ghost also told him to go out early in the morning and to pluck a thorn off a blackthorn hedge and to stick it in a lump at the back of his wife's head and she would recover her sight. He told Sean that on no account should he tell anyone about the magic wonders of the pot.

   Sean promised to do so, and the ghost then carried him home. In the morning Sean went to the hedge and picked the thorn. He stuck the thorn in the back of his wife's head and she cried, "I see everything.". He then went to the pot and struck it three times, and out came a little woman and laid the table with everything he could wish to eat.

   Alas! Sean told his wife the secret and she told the neighbours
