One evening Mrs. John Gordon was passing the fort that is situated by her house in the townland of Towneymachugh, in the district of Glenear, in the parish of Killasnett and in the barong of Rossclogher. She heard some one in the fort shouting "come in". She went in and they gave her a violin to play a tune. They then asked a porringer of water from her. She gave it to them and they thanked her very much. When she was going they gave her three golden pieces. Mrs. Gordon had the best of luck ever afterwards.- Bailitheoir
