One evening Lord Leitrim came upon a man and his wife coming home from town and they loaded with parcels of every shape and size.

One evening Lord Leitrim came upon a man and his wife coming home from town and they loaded with parcels of every shape and size. "He guessed eggs when he saw shells" and knew at once that those people were wealthy.
He then decided to go to their house. He did likewise and turned the man, wife and nine children out on the road. The man was eighty years old.
Six short months passed and the three of the children with their mother passed away.
The old died of grief in another year.
