    One night sixty nine years ago a man named Owen Rooney was going home from ceilidhing in Willy Mac Cann's (Gurteen, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim).

    then shook himself but remained where he was. Owen would necessarily have to pass the headless horse and rider on his way home and so he remained in William Mac Cann's until morning.
