“One cold, stormy, winter's night a little family circle were sitting comfortably at the turf-fire.”
One cold, stormy, Winter's night a little family circle were sitting comfortably at the turf-fire. Suddenly a knock was heard on the door. The vanithee went to the door and opened it and a very tall, well dressed man stood on the threshold. He told her his car was punctured down the road and asked a night lodging. He was admitted and was soon seated beside the glowing fire. He soon took a book our of his pocket and started to read. Sometimes he made a remark about been in the way. When bedtime came he went to his bedroom, but instead of going to bed he continued with his reading. By and by the man of the house began to be uneasy so he had not the best idea who the stranger was, but he was half afraid it was the devil. He tied his (the stranger's) bedroom door and started to hear the priest's advice on the matter. The priest gave hi a bottle of holy(continues on next page)
