There was a man named Mr. Wilson who was able to make those shoes from skin. They also wore "croigín" long ago. These were the tops of stockings pulled up on their legs and a hole at the top of them The old people wore them long ago when working around. The men never wore these 'croigín' at all. They also wore clogs long ago but some people wear them at the present day. They are to be sold in shops. People who make 'clogs' are called 'cloggers'.When the shoes are broken the people bring them to a shoe-maker to get them 'cobbled'. They tell the shoe-maker to put a "caobín" on them or a 'bun'. The shoe-makers are rare at the present day.
