    If your right eye itches you will be laughing before you to to bed.
    If your left eye itches you will be crying before the day is out.
    Singing before your breakfast you will be crying before your supper.
    If a black rat crosses the road in front of you, you will have bad luck all the day.
    If a weasel stands, and stares you in the face you will have bad luck.
    There is a verse which referrs to the days you cut your nails on;-
    Cut them on Monday,
    Cut the for news,
    Cut them on Tuesday
    A new pair of shoes
    Cut them on Wednesday
