- About ninety years ago there lived an old man in the townland of Moyne named Johnny Scott. One day he was out hearding cattle and he heard a little noise behind a stone. He went over to the stone quietly and he saw a wee man dressed in red sitting on a wee stone and he sowing a wee shoe. He caught hold of him and he asked him to give him a pot of gold. The wee man told him to follow after him. They went on until they came to a river. Then the wee man jumped accross and told Johnny to jump after him. The river was too wide wide and Johnny was not able to jump to the other side as he fell into the river. At that time there was a small flood in the river and when he got up there was no sight of the wee man to be seen nowhere. He looked all around but he could not see him. So he had to go home all wet and got no gold.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
