    and so far as we can conjecture by the aid of a foot-note; much thumbed and almost illegible, the object of the piece is to commemorate an event, real or imaginary, in which a small boy, remarkable for his bearty and grace - probably intended for Prince Charles in his boyhood, with a satrical eye to his count, or some passing assembly (the name Hancy implying, as we presume, a contraction of handsome) - is invited with some other neighbouring youths, to contend in a dance for a prize to be awarded by the queen of the fairies then assembled under the 'Tryating-Tree' to celebrate their hallow-eve; to which, by rather a wild stretch of the poetic licence in the author, a host of naturally antagonistic vermin and
