That night a great many of our neighbours come to the house to hear them telling stories, because these travelling people travel a great many places and they hear and sea a lot of things.
There is some sport and laughter in the house and they are welcomed when they come.
We give them a good supper and we make a big fire in the barn and we make beds there for them also.
The company who gather in ask them about everyone and everything, and especially about how such and such a farmer is getting on.
They also ask them about the different fairs, whether there was a good supply of cattle, sheep. calves, lambs, horses and pigs, and the different prices paid for these animals.
The travellers leave after a few days and the farmers are lonely.
