Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)aged 82, remembers seeing the flax growing and the people coming to steep it for a number of weeks. These big swamps or ponds are still to be seen on the farm.
Splendid linen was made by the people of the district who used it for making their own clothes.
The oldest woman now living in Aglish - Mrs. Scanlon aged 92, has still two pieces of this linen - she is keeping it in memory of the old Aglish Linen. She has the old spinning wheel also.
- Ballyduff, Co. Waterford, in the Barony of Coshmore and Coshbride is where I am living.
There are thirty families in the district.
Most of the houses were thatched long ago but now they are all slated.
