- ChurningOur churn is 20 years old. It was made in Tubercurry. The price of it was 17/-6. It is two feet six inches high and is four feet four inches wide at the top and the same in the bottom and is three feet ten inches wide in the middle. It is a plunger churn. The names of the parts are the dash the churn and the lid. we churn twice a week in the Summer time and once a week in winter. It takes about half an hour in the Summer and an hour in winter. The way the people know when the butter is made is the butter comes up on the lid. If any person came unto the house while the people in that house were churning and if they did not help them with it it was said that they took some of it.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
