    She then put the log-wood into the boiling water, that is it if she wanted to dye garments brown. But if she wanted to dye them black, she put the coppras in it instead.
    Then she put the clothes into it, and left them there for a half an hour. Next she took them up and spread them out to dry. When they were dry she iorned them. Then they were ready for use again.
    I suppose there were other methods for dyeing the other colours but I only heard of those two.
    This dyer I am speaking about charged a penny a garment for every one she had to dye.
