- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)were marks made in the loaf when it was to be baked in the oven. The marks were made so as the loaf would not burst when baking. A griddle and an oven were used for baking. Stampy and potato cake were used on special occasions and sometimes bread wet with cream instead of milk known as cream cake.
- There is a place in Ennismore known by the name of Drom Domhnaigh. There is a crab tree growing there known as the fairy tree. There was a Leiphreachan often seen there in olden(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
