  1. There was once a monk who lived in a monastery with some other monks.
    One night as he was asleep a beautiful bird awakened him. The bird went out then and the monk followed him until daybreak but in vain he could not get him. Then he came home to the monastery and knocked at the door but they did not let him in. He kept on knocking until at last they opened the door.
