    The houses long ago were nearly all thatched.This thatch was got in bogs .In the kitchen of every house almost ,there was a bed called "a camp bed" or a "settle bed".The people of the house slept in these beds .The hearth was generally against the gable end of the house.There was a chimney in every house and it was made of clay and timber.There was only one door in every house,and it was fastened with a hasp.There was only window in some of the houses.I do not know what they uses before glass.The floors were made of clay and mud.There was a half-door in every house .They
