    very common name for fields in this district.
    Páirc na Né is a small field and there are no bushes on the ditches there but there are some ditches around it. Páirc an Tobar is so called because there is a well in the middle of it. Poll a’ Mhadaidh is a field where a lot of hazel grows around the ditches and where the fox could have his den in safety. The Cnoch Maol is a field with a little bare hill in it and never much grass grew on it and it was not cultivated.
    There are a lot of stories told about Gobach Field and some people say that they are true and some say that nothing ever happened there. One story told about this field was that a girl who had her choice of two boys married one of
