A boy was put sitting on a stool. The
other boys formed a ring round him
and marched round singing,
"It's now we are marching to Quebec
Where the drums are loudly beating
Where the Americans have won the day
And the British are retreating
And when the war is over
We'ill return to where we started
So open up the ring and let another in
That seems to be true hearted".
Then the ring was opened and the boy called in a girl. She sat beside him on the stool and all in the ring marched round again singing the above song. When they had finished each boy put out his hand to the girl and the boy on the stool also put out his hand. The girl gave her hand to a boy and she was then said to be married to him.
This continued until all the girls were married. If the boy who was on the stool was not selected by any of the girls he was then(continues on next page)- Collector
