    57. Customs in connection with death:-
When a young person died corps was
"laid out" on a table. Such person
was said to be waked "overboard".
When an old person died corps was
placed under table. Such person was
    said to be "underboard"
    Tricks at Wakes.
    1. Throwing the ball.
Boys procured some straw and made
it into a ball; they sat round room
where wake was being held. One
person was made stand in the middle
of the room. Ball was passed from
one to another under their knees
they saying "sin é seo é" while
passing it. Boy who was standing
tried to get the ball while the others
tried to prevent him from getting it.
The person beside whom it was at
last caught by him had to stand up
and try to get it next time.
    2. A girl was selected and put sitting
on a "creepy" stool. She had the
privilege of calling on any boy whom
she chose to sing for her. He had to
contribute song after song until she
got up off the stool. This she
wouldn't do until he sung badly.
