  1. Owing to the introduction of so many new shops throughout the country the people of this locality seldom go to town to buy their weekly groceries. At present there are three grocers' shops in this locality. Mrs. Peter Hanafee has one Cloonteagh, Mrs. James Donnell owns one in Ballagh, and Mrs. James Hanafee has one in Treel. These shopkeepers buy eggs, so the people give their eggs in exchange for their groceries. Mrs. Peter Hanafee is doing the best trade in this locality, because there is no shop north of hers and the people of that area come to her for their groceries. The children when they are going home from school bring home groceries also.
    Ten or twelve years ago there were three shops in this locality that are not in it now. They were
