    The missing murdured made

    Her bosom once so sparkling bright
    Was black with wounds and blows
    And from the cuts fresh blood gushed forth
    And trinkled through her clothes.

    To see the worms creeping through her eyes
    That once both blue and bright.

    And to his grief and shame
    The gentlemen upon the haft

    My soul its food for hell
    O hide her cold corpse from my sight
    And its then the truth I'll tell

    O yes, I loved young Bessie long
    And by my cunning art
    I gained her to my vicious views.
