One night Patsy Carrig who lived in Tullycrine went up to Johny Reidy's in Clonquillian to a wake, as he was coming home at the dead of night he had to pass by a Fort called Crotty's fort in Lisenair he had a stick with him he met "good people" on his journey coming home, they kept pulling the stick till they took him into the fort and kept him there till morning.
    When he came home he kept to the bed and never did a day's work after till he died.
